Sejnoha

Michal Šejnoha is currently a Professor at the Department of mechanics, Faculty of Civil Engineering, Czech Technical University in Prague. In 1996, he received his Ph.D. degree at the Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in Troy, NY in the field of miromechanical modeling of composite materials. In 2008 he earned the academic degree Doctor of Science (DSc.) in the area of Applied and Theoretical Mechanics. He is the author of more than 100 technical papers published in Scopus-indexed international journals and 2 books. His research interest includes geometrical and constitutive modeling of composites with random microstructure, modeling of damage and heat and moisture transport in masonry structures, modeling of wood and timber structures on both micro and macro-scale, constitutive modeling of soils, modeling of transport processes in soils and soil-structure interaction. He is also a member of the editorial board of "Acta Geodynamica et Geomaterialia".
